LOS ANGELES, August 29, 2018 (Newswire.com) - The Aviation Institute of Maintenance (AIM), a leading aviation maintenance school with 11 campuses in North America, has won three coveted Brandon Hall Group Excellence Awards:
- Gold: Best Learning Program Supporting a Change Transformation Business Strategy
- Gold: Best Results of a Learning Program
- Silver: Best Advance in Competencies and Skill Development
The awards celebrate organizations that solved critical business needs and were able to show significant, measurable results on KPIs by successfully deploying human capital management programs, strategies, processes, systems and tools that have achieved dramatic measurable results:
"Excellence Award winners personify innovation that drives business results,” said Rachel Cooke, Chief Operating Officer of Brandon Hall Group.
AIM won for its collaboration with partner Fulcrum Labs, a leader in AI-powered adaptive learning technology. Together, AIM and Fulcrum Labs developed a training and preparation program designed to help maximize the potential of aviation mechanic students preparing to participate in FAA certification exams. The program produced significant results, including:
- An average 14% increase in pass rates on FAA aircraft mechanics certifications
- A dramatic 25% increase in the number of students who chose to sit for the FAA mechanic certification exams due to improved confidence resulting from the Fulcrum platform
- A significant uptick in AIM certification program enrollments
“Over the course of the two-year training program, students often struggle to retain everything they learned at the beginning of the program in order to pass the exam,” said Joel English, VP at the Aviation Institute of Maintenance. “The new review course is a three-week program that has resulted in a higher rate of exam participation (demonstrating a higher level of learner confidence) and an increase in exam pass rate from 79 percent to 90 percent.”
With an eye to even greater gains, AIM and Fulcrum Labs are already building upon their initial successes. Combining new success and performance data with Fulcrum’s abundance of learning data, the two companies are making refinements that will drive better student and business outcomes- increasing learner buy-in, improving the learner experience and creating new marketing opportunities to engage future students.
“We’re an outcomes-driven company, so we’re quite pleased with the extraordinary results we’re seeing in our partnership with AIM,” said Patrick Weir, CEO of Fulcrum Labs. “Equipping people with the skills they need to perform their jobs with accuracy, integrity and confidence – as demonstrated by our project with AIM – is a key tenet of Fulcrum’s philosophy and something we strive to do within every client engagement.”
